About Hon. Dr. Lukas Gacheru

I'm Hon. Dr. Lukas Gacheru (Phd), and I'm a son of this soil, born and raised right here in Gathara ward. My educational path, from Mwiteithia and Karoroha Primary Schools to Nyandarua High School and the University of Nairobi, has prepared me with the knowledge and skills needed for this office. I furthered my education with a Ph.D. in Health Administration and Leadership from Central Michigan University in the USA, and my professional career has given me leadership experience at major healthcare organizations in both Kenya and America, including The Aga Khan Hospital, AAR Health Services, Aetna, and Cigna. My commitment to our community is not new; while at the University of Nairobi, I served as Treasurer and Chairperson of the Nyandarua Students Organization, where we initiated programs to uplift students and provide medical services to our neighbors.

My dedication to public service extends back to 2007 when I was a Logistics Officer for the Party of National Unity (PNU), a position that allowed me to serve under the great leadership of the Late Hon. Mwai Kibaki. I am not only a leader but a collaborator who believes that our progress hinges on working together, ensuring that every person in Kinangop is heard, respected, and included in our development. I am committed to a strategic vision for our future, one that requires us to unite and tackle the significant challenges facing our nation. Together, we can transform Kinangop and build a brighter future for all of us.
