About Hon. Dr. Lukas Gacheru

My name is Dr. Lukas Gacheru, and I'm one of your own, born and raised in Engineer. My journey started at Mwiteithia and Karoroha Primary Schools, then to Nyandarua High School. I went on to the University of Nairobi for my healthcare and business degrees and later earned my Ph.D. in Health Administration and Leadership from Central Michigan University in the USA.

My career has given me rich experience in leadership. I've had the privilege to work with leading organizations like The Aga Khan Hospital and AAR Health Services here in Kenya, and even major companies in America such as Aetna and Cigna.

My dedication to serving our community started when I was a student. At the University of Nairobi, I was proud to be the Treasurer and Chairperson of the Nyandarua Students Organization. We launched initiatives to inspire high school students and brought essential medical camps to our underserved areas. I also fought hard, successfully lobbying the Ministry of Health for paid internships for medical students after they graduated.

In 2007, I actively served the Party of National Unity (PNU) under the leadership of our beloved President, the Late Hon. Mwai Kibaki, playing a key role as Logistics Officer for Nairobi.

Today, as I seek to lead, I truly believe that real leadership comes from working together. It's about ensuring everyone is included, and we all collaborate. Every single person in Kinangop has a part to play in our development, and I promise to treat everyone with respect and dignity. Our nation faces big challenges, and we need leaders who can think strategically. I'm committed to joining forces with all of you who share this vision to transform our beloved Kinangop. Let's make it happen!
